About…

Tania designs and creates handcrafted silver jewellery in her studio in Wiltshire.

Her designs are often drawn from the natural world with particular attention to surface texture and the subtle variatins in colour and tone resulting from oxidisation.

Her work is also informed by her training in ceramics and she holds a Ba (hons) in Ceramics from Camberwell College of Art.

Having completed a course in making jewellery she discovered a passion for working with silver and has been making jewellery ever since.

You can find examples of her work in Silver and Ceramics in Made in Bradford on Avon.

She is a member of the guild of Jewellery Designers and you can also catch up with her at events and markets across the West Country.

Materials

All Tania`s designs are made using 100% recycled Sterling Silver, Argentium, or 9ct Gold. Her jewellery conforms with British Hallmarking standards and items are hallmarked at the London assay office to confirm the precious metal content of the piece being struck.

All silver pieces over 7.78 gm and gold pieces over 1 gm will be hallmarked in accordance with British hallmarking standards. More information on Hallmarking can be found on the London Assay Office website.

Silver purity standards are regulated and measured on a scale of millesimal fineness, i.e. parts per thousand.

Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver.

Argentium silver is a brand of modern silver alloys containing 94% pure silver, designed to be brighter with increased tarnish resistance, antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties.
